Paul L. Bureau III

Mr. Bureau has responsibility for sourcing, executing and managing investment opportunities. Prior to founding Venquest Capital Partners in 2000, Paul was a Vice President with Banc One Capital Partners, where he structured and negotiated private equity and mezzanine investments and investment banking transactions with privately held, middle market companies. He was also involved in managing the group’s extensive portfolio of investments, including board representation within many companies. Prior to joining Banc One Capital Partners, Paul worked in the Investment Banking Group of Principal Financial Securities, a Dallas-based investment banking firm, where he participated in public equity offerings, private placements and M&A transactions. He is a graduate of Boston College, with degrees in Finance and Management Information Systems. Paul is extensively involved in Venquest’s portfolio companies at both the board and operating level, and currently serves as CFO of Petroplex Acidizing, LP, an oilfield services company acquired by the firm in 2007.

Mr. Smartt has responsibility for sourcing, executing and managing investment opportunities. Prior to founding Venquest Capital Partners in 2000, David was a Vice President with Banc One Capital Partners, where he structured and negotiated private equity and mezzanine investments and investment banking transactions with privately held, middle market companies. Prior to Banc One Capital Partners, David was with CS First Boston in the firm's Investment Banking Group, where he participated in public equity and debt offerings, private placements and M&A transactions for Fortune 500 clients. He is a graduate of Boston College, with degrees in Finance and Marketing. David is extensively involved in Venquest’s portfolio companies at both the board and operating level.
Nick Pauleit

Mr. Pauleit joined Venquest Capital Partners as an Associate in 2008. Formerly with Bluffview Capital, a Dallas-based boutique investment banking firm, he assisted in M&A and private placements of debt and equity. Prior to his work with Bluffview, Nick was an Analyst at Highland Capital Management, where he provided extensive valuation, pricing, operations and investment management support. Before joining Highland, Nick was part of the audit group of Deloitte. Nick received undergraduate degrees in Finance and Accounting from Boston College, as well as a Masters Degree in Accounting from The University of Texas. |
